Summary

Business modeling is the construction of models of a company or a specific part (a domain) of the company. It aims to understand the structure, functioning and behaviour of a domain in order to: build a common vision, highlight dysfunctions and risks, improve the organization radically (re-engineering) or continuously (quality approach). It makes it possible to compare reorganization alternatives, to predict the performance of operational processes before their implementation, to prepare the computerization of certain processes.

Educational goals

At the end of the course, the student will be able to: - Perform a business process mapping - Model a business process with BPMN using a tool - Propose process improvements and argue them Contribution of the course to the competency framework (see RNCP sheet); at the end of the course, the student will have progressed in: - The ability to recommend improvements in terms of organization and procedures - The ability to define priorities for improvement actions - The ability to communicate on his activity based on internal communication methods

Summary

The design of structures is becoming more and more complex. This work requires the use of sizing tools to address three-dimensional problems. The objective of this course is to introduce the mechanics of 3D continuous media as well as the tools and methodologies for dimensioning structures to meet this need.

Educational goals

In the first part, the notions of 3D stresses and deformations will be introduced. Subsequently, we will focus on the law of elastic and linear behaviour which makes it possible to relate stresses to deformations as well as to the notions of structural equilibrium. Finally, we will look at the criteria of plasticity and the elasto-plastic behaviour of materials. The skills to be acquired are as follows: - Master the tensors of stresses and strains, their uses and their physical significance, - Master the law of behaviour in linear elasticity in the case of small perturbations, - Master the concepts of plasticity criteria and yield strength, - Understand the phenomena of elasto-plasticity, perfect plasticity and strain-hardening plasticity In the second part, in order to allow the treatment of complex three-dimensional problems that cannot be treated manually, we will focus on the finite element method as well as the use of an EF calculation code widely used in the industrial world (ABAQUS). The skills to be acquired are as follows: - Understand the Finite Element method, - Understand the notion of convergence of Finite Element problems, - Understand the sensitivity and accuracy of the results with respect to mesh sizes and the definition of boundary conditions.

Summary

Current technological advances mean that there has never been as much information as there is today. It increases at a dizzying speed and takes the form of images (fixed or animated), sounds and digital data. On the other hand, there is a convergence between telecommunication networks and IT networks. Although these networks carry the same type of data streams (digital data, voice, video, etc.) and are based on the same model (the OSI model), their requirements in terms of service quality differ. In this module, we will focus only on the lower layers of the OSI model (physical layer and modulation principles), and more particularly on the physics of radio frequency waves (in the terrestrial environment and guided) and on modulation/demodulation principles (analogue and digital).

Educational goals

- Know how to understand, use, design and calculate the dimensions of a telecommunications system whose purpose is to transmit information. - Know its parameters and limits. - Understand how the devices, systems for the general public and specific systems work. - Know how to monitor their future developments. - Understand the transition from analogue to digital. - Show the links between the development of modern telecommunication systems and the development of electronics, IT and signal processing methods.

Summary

This course allows students to learn the basic concepts of rigid body system dynamics and apply them to the analysis and study of simple mechanical systems.

Educational goals

As an introduction, statics and kinematics (concept of torsors, modelling of mechanical actions, calculations of speeds and acceleration, etc.) are briefly reviewed. It covers the main concepts of the Statics-Kinematics module At the end of the course, students will be able to: - Know how to calculate a centre of gravity, a moment of inertia, an inertia matrix (integral calculations and Huygens theorem). - Know how to determine kinetic and dynamic torsors for solid systems: understand the difficulties in calculating kinetic and dynamic moments (the relationship between these two moments). - Apply the Fundamental Principle of Dynamics (FPD) to single solids or a group of solids (dynamic moment theorem and dynamic resultant theorem). Apply the FPD to open and closed continuous chains.
