Summary
The aim of this CSI module is to present the IS design process, from the drafting of specifications to the creation of the database in a database management system.
Educational goals
In terms of IS, they can analyze a set of specifications to produce a data dictionary.
Based on this data dictionary, they will transform the model into a Relational Model following
standardization rules. They will transform the model into a SQL script for creating tables, and implement the database in a DBMS. They will develop case studies that unfold the entire design methodology.
Sustainable development goals
Knowledge control procedures
Continuous Assessment
Comments: Case study: Design and modeling of an IS in the form of a relational model. Transformation of this relational model into a SQL script and implementation in a DBMS.
