Summary

Students benefit from a long professional experience working abroad at a company. They take on significant responsibilities while participating in projects. They discover another culture by immersing themselves in a foreign country. Students become increasingly autonomous in their work.

Educational goals

Conditions for approving internship proposals: - A minimum of 35 weeks in line with the dates set by the official ITEEM calendar. - Integration into a department or team within a company. - Responsibility taken within the project or team. - The assignment's theme is related to a technological issue. - The internship must be compensated. - The assignment(s) must be in a foreign language. - Full immersion in a non-French speaking country in which the language and culture are different from the intern's. - Justification of the development of autonomy (budget). RNCP skills (the RNCP is France's national directory of professional certifications): - Communicate on one's work using internal communication methods. - Communicate on technical and general characteristics in a foreign language. - Analyse specific characteristics related to European and international cultures. The following skill is involved: - Define the characteristics of a product and design the manufacturing methods according to production requirements using project management, supply chain organisation, and computer-aided design and drafting methods. - Develop a marketing plan for placing a product on the market using marketing, communication and sales techniques, customer relations principles and office tools. - Develop new organisational structures in order to market a new product or service using strategic and marketing tools. - Define the characteristics of the national and international development of an organisation by analysing a market, customer needs and competition using statistic, and strategic and marketing intelligence tools. - Recommend improvements with regards to organisation, management and procedures and define priority areas for development based on tools for change management, project management, corporate strategy and taking into account societal and environmental challenges.

Comments: The intern must submit a report to the host organisation and have it approved by the same organisation before submitting it to the educational institution.

- Phase 1: from September to May: Identification of the personal and professional objectives of this internship. Searching for companies. Application. - phase 2: from May to the end of January: duration of the internship. Students are accompanied during these periods by an academic advisor. Assessment: - Internship report (see recommendations) in English assessed by the academic advisor to be submitted at the indicated deadline. - End-of-internship certificate completed by the company to be submitted at the start of the fourth year (IE4). - Internship assessment form completed by the company advisor to be submitted at the start of the fourth year (IE4). Feedback will be provided in the Languages and Modelling and Process Optimisation courses.
