Summary
This is a technical internship. This internship is based on the knowledge of engineering sciences acquired during the first two years.
Educational goals
- Students apply the knowledge acquired in science for engineering and emphasise the skills targeted by their degree: undertake, design, implement, innovate, lead, communicate, organise, and train. - Students put the assignments entrusted to them into perspective. - Present the scientific approach: context, analysis of the need, modelling, scientific method to address the need, implementation and assessment, feedback. Conditions for approving internship proposals: - A minimum ten-week internship in line with the dates set by the official ITEEM calendar for the current year. - Internship in a company in France in order to have a reference for comparison in terms of societal and corporate culture with respect to the international internship. - Tasks: complete an assignment, a technical project for the benefit of the company, the assignment entrusted to the intern is scientific (ITEEM's technical skills to be specified). RNCP skills (the RNCP is France's national directory of professional certifications): - Students communicate on their work using internal communication methods. - Communicate on technical and general characteristics. - Define the characteristics of a product and design the manufacturing methods according to production requirements using project management, supply chain organisation, and computer-aided design and drafting methods.

Comments: The intern must submit a report to the host organisation and have it approved by the same organisation before submitting it to the educational institution.

Pedagogy
The internship is supervised by both a company advisor and an academic advisor. The academic advisor acts as contact person with ITEEM during the internship period. There must be at least two meetings with them (one week after the start of the internship and another during the last week). Assessment: - Internship report (see recommendations) assessed by the academic advisor to be submitted after the All Saints Day holiday break. - End-of-internship certificate completed by the company to be submitted at the start of the third year (IE3). - Internship assessment form completed by the company advisor to be submitted at the start of the third year (IE3).
