Summary

This is an introductory internship to sales and to the corporate world. This internship should help students to put into practice the initial lessons they have learned, particularly in management and sales. The purpose is to put students in a customer-facing position.

Educational goals

- Acquire an initial experience at a company in France through sales. - Discover the complexity of the world of work, the formal and informal links of the company's operations, and learn about sales techniques. Conditions for approving internship proposals: - Internship of at least five weeks according to the dates set by the official ITEEM calendar for the current year. - Internship in a company in France. - Assignments: Students learn about business operations, are introduced to sales techniques, and have direct contact with customers. RNCP skills (the RNCP is France's national directory of professional certifications): - Students communicate on their work using internal communication methods. - Develop a marketing plan for placing a product on the market using marketing, communication and sales techniques, customer relations principles and office tools.

Comments: The intern must submit a report to the host organisation and have it approved by the same organisation before submitting it to the educational institution.

Pedagogy

The internship is supervised by both a company advisor and an academic advisor. The academic advisor acts as contact person with ITEEM during the internship period. There must be at least two meetings with them (one week after the start of the internship and another during the last week). Assessment: - Internship report (see recommendations set in the first year [IE1] by communication teachers) assessed by communication experts to be submitted at the start of the second year (IE2). - End-of-internship certificate completed by the company to be submitted at the start of the second year (IE2). - Internship assessment form completed by the company advisor to be submitted at the start of the second year (IE2). Debriefing during the IE2 (second-year) internship feedback course.
