Summary
Coupling between chemical reactions and the transfer of material and heat will be addressed through chemical engineering tools. This part of the course will identify the limits of technologies used to implement catalytic reactions.
Educational goals
- Be able to diagnose the hydrodynamics of a real reactor by interpreting the distribution of residence times - Be able to predict whether external or internal diffusional limitations occur in the implementation of a biphasic heterogeneous catalytic reaction - Be able to predict whether limitations to external or internal heat transfers occur in the implementation of a biphasic heterogeneous catalytic reaction.
Sustainable development goals
