Summary
Students learn kanji and more advanced grammar, such as forms for orders, capacity, experience, "te", "tari", "shi", and "ndesu" forms, and "de", "mo", and "kara" particles. There are exercises and small cultural presentations on the following topics: Japanese mythology (Izanami and Izanagi, Tsukiyomi, Susanowo, and Amaterasu), and traditional Japanese festivals (Hanami, Tsukimi, and the Japanese New Year).
Educational goals
Students will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the Japanese mentality and cultural history. Regarding the Japanese language, students will be able to have a useful conversation on a daily basis and read simple texts.
