Summary
The curse on the eco-conception of surfactants introduces the structure and sourcing of te main surfactants used, distinguishing the ones which are petro-based to the ones coming from renewable resources, or even microorganisms. Their synthesis, as well as the techniques used to study their biodegradation, is discussed in regards to sustainable developments.
Educational goals
To know the structure and sourcing of surfactants as key compounds inside formulated products, the standard chemistry used for their synthesis, and develop new ones which may be safe for the environment.
